Missing the SAT question on Tilt Mounts and Cat5E Products Help Me to Buckle Down on Studies
Thursday, July 9th, 2009When my SAT question of the day asked what tilt mounts were, I missed it. I then knew I needed to find out what the correct answer was. Tilt mounts are used to mount a flat screen and then you can tilt it instead of having it in a fixed position all the time. I will never miss anything like that again. The following day I had to explain what Cat5E products were in my computer class and I missed that. I was getting frustrated to find out that for someone who wanted to go to college and major in computer technical classes, I did not know squat. I decided to really crack down on the books and get serious about studying. By the end of that week, I knew what Cat5E products were and how to install most of them. When we had a pop quiz the following week, I answered only one question wrong and stayed after class to have it explained to me. I went and took the SAT’s about two months later and scored really high. I got in to my first choice of schools and am a very successful computer IT analyst now. If I had not missed the tilt mounts question, I may have not buckled down and gotten serious about college.
